The Institute's Advanced
Leadership Development
Program is designed to
expand senior leadership
skills.
WAUKESHA, WI -- NCHL and GE's Institute for Transformational Leadership has announced two new healthcare leadership programs that will be delivered in 2008. The Institute was launched in 2007 as a collaborative effort from GE Healthcare and the National Center for Healthcare Leadership (NCHL). Both of the new programs have been developed to address today's urgent issues, while also preparing organizations to meet the complex challenges that lie ahead.
The Institute's Advanced Leadership Development Program is designed to expand senior leadership skills and deliver value to the healthcare organization through completion of a high-impact project. This three-part program is built on an "action learning" platform of CEO-sponsored teams of between six and eight organizational leaders working together. Projects are kicked off at a week-long session and are supported by two additional off-site workshops, regular ongoing faculty coaching, and virtual support for each team.
The Advanced Leadership Development Program provides a strong platform for the healthcare CEO's staff, senior leadership and high potential talent to leverage the execution of a strategic project to gain valuable executive skills for leading change. The first session of this program will be held April 13 at GE's Crotonville facility in New York, and the second session will be held September 21-26 at the GE Healthcare Institute in Waukesha, Wisconsin.

Also launching in 2008 is the Strategic Human Resources Leadership Program. Utilizing the National Center for Healthcare Leadership's (NCHL) evidence-based leadership models and assessments, this program will help to align human resource practices and prepare teams for the challenges that lie ahead. Designed for no more than 35 human resource and organizational development executives and managers, this program is facilitated by top practitioner thought-leaders inside and outside healthcare. Individually, or with their team, participants will create a tailored action plan that can be immediately implemented in their own organization. Deep sharing of industry and global best practices will provide the opportunity to learn from faculty and other participants. The program will be offered twice this year: May 13-16 and October 21-24.
