Washington DC- The Medical Device Manufacturers Association (MDMA), a national trade association based in Washington, D.C., announces participation in the National Healthcare Career Network (NHCN). The NHCN is an initiative that brings healthcare associations together to provide job placement and advancement opportunities; career development tools, training, scholarships and resources to alleviate employee shortages facing the healthcare marketplace. The NHCN promotes healthcare associations' specialized job boards and online career centers as valuable resources for finding and developing industry-specific talent.

Founding partner, the American Hospital Association (AHA) is rallying hospitals and healthcare systems. "The goal is to address millions of critical, yet unfilled positions-a trend in our field that has been gradual and is now reaching crisis levels," said Anthony Burke, President and CEO of AHA Solutions (an American Hospital Association company). "We welcome MDMA and all health care associations - large and small, national and regional - to join us," continued Burke.

Billions of dollars are spent on commercial job boards, but many critical healthcare positions remain vacant. Healthcare employers will be able to use the NHCN to find talent faster-selecting from the largest pool of candidates with certifications, extensive health care training and specialized knowledge available. The NHCN's technology is powered by Boxwood, the leading provider of online career centers to associations and professional trade organizations. Postings will appear on the originating association's job board, and will also be integrated with every relevant network participant

"We are excited to join our colleague organizations in taking the lead on this collaborative effort," said Mark Leahey, MDMA Executive Director. "We want to be a valuable resource to the employers we serve, so they will continue to seek out the association community as their first choice for recruiting."

More than 25 top healthcare associations and professional organizations have joined the NHCN, devoting their resources to help healthcare resolve its crisis. Visit the MDMA Career Center today to post your job to this valuable network, http://careers.medicaldevices.org.
