CEDAR PARK, Texas – August 23, 2022 – ETS-Lindgren announced immediate availability of Model LRX-EMP RF Power Line Filters in the ranges of 10, 30, 60, 100, and 250 Amp that comply with MIL-STD-188-125-1A. The filter series meets or exceeds the residual requirements and other norms of MIL-STD-188-125-1A, released by the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) in July 2021, superseding MIL-STD-188-125-1, released in 1998. The MIL-STD-188-125-1A standard specifies test methods as well as updates passing criteria for Points-of-Entry (POE), such as filters, to secure environments including SCIF and TEMPEST shielded enclosures. The new edition of MIL-STD-188-125-1A raises the quality standard for RF power line filter installations. POE for power are often overlooked but are integral to maintaining the overall security of any environment on which RF power line filters are installed. Model LRX-EMP RF power line filters also meet the requirements of the superseded standard MIL-STD-188-125-1. Thus, they are backward compatible with the -1 requirements.
To document compliance with MIL-STD-188-125-1A and -1, Model LRX-EMP RF Power Line Filters were independently tested at Little Mountain Test Facility operated by Boeing at Hill Air Force Base in Ogden, Utah (test report available on request). Model LRX-EMP RF Power Line Filters also comply with industry standards such as UL 1283, MIL-STD-220, MIL-F-15733, and IEC 60939 to ensure high-quality performance and safe operation.
“We released this series of Model LRX-EMP RF Power Line Filters compliant with MIL-STD-188-125-1A last month with ratings from 10 Amp to 100 Amp. Due to popular demand, we’ve added the 250 Amp-rated filters, and our next step is to provide a wider range of Model LRX-EMP 400, 600, and 800 Amp-rated filters. These will be submitted to Little Mountain Test Facility for independent testing in the near future,” said Sergio Longoria, Product Line Technical Manager, RF Filters. “As a long-time technical contributor to the commercial and defense standards committees addressing RF power line filter applications and performance, we anticipated the POE changes specified by DTRA and were ready to support our customers.”
