ARRS Names John K. Crowe, M.D. 2008-2009 President

John K. Crowe, MD
John K. Crowe, M.D. has been named the 2008-2009 President of the American Roentgen Ray Society. Dr. Crowe took office on April 13, 2008 during a ceremony held at the ARRS Annual Meeting in Washington, DC. Dr. Crowe practices in Arizona at Scottsdale Medical Imaging Ltd. and Scottsdale Healthcare and has teaching appointments at Yale University and The University of Arizona.

A native of Missouri, Dr. Crowe attended Earlham College and Duke University School of Medicine. He then trained at the Mayo Clinic in Internal Medicine and Diagnostic Radiology and served in the U.S. Navy prior to returning to Mayo in 1973. He received a Masters degree from the University of Minnesota and remained at Mayo with a teaching appointment there, and at the University of Minnesota, through 1978 when he moved to Scottsdale.

Dr. Crowe is a founding member of Scottsdale Medical Imaging Ltd., a group practice of over 40 physicians and 400 employees which has been recognized nationally for its contributions to practice, research and teaching. He has served as a member, director and officer of civic groups, foundations and various local, state and national medical organizations. Dr. Crowe is currently a trustee of the American Board of Radiology.
