For the next 15 years, GE HealthCare will supply diagnostic imaging, surgical, cardiology and emergency department equipment and services to Windsor Regional Hospital (WRH) in Ontario, Canada, through a managed equipment service agreement between the organizations.

GE HealthCare will oversee ongoing acquisitions, installations, maintenance and staff training for the majority of medical solutions used by WRH, along with regular performance reviews and product management. The agreement will begin at the hospital's current location, and will continue when it opens the new Windsor/Essex acute care hospital, which it expects to be operational by 2030.

“We are excited to be collaborating with GE HealthCare to support outstanding care for our patients in a way that is financially sustainable, both now and as we plan for the new hospital,” said Malissa Gauthier, Windsor Regional Hospital chief financial officer and vice president of corporate and laboratory services, in a statement.
The agreement is modeled after GE HealthCare’s MES collaboration with Humber River Hospital, now in its eighth year.
