Imaging of Tennessee
Virtual Imaging, Inc., a premier diagnostic imaging manufacturing and service organization based in Deerfield Beach, FL, has completed its acquisition of Central Imaging, a remanufacturer of patient handling devices and imaging systems located in Greenbrier, TN.

The acquisition of Central Imaging adds Tennessee to the growing direct sales team and opportunities of Virtual Imaging. Thirteen Central Imaging employees have been incorporated into Virtual Imaging to expand sales and service, continuing the Virtual Imaging customer service commitment philosophy. The diagnostic imaging sales prominently feature the RadPRO(r) product line.

"We will offer expanded services in high end modalities such as CT and MRI along with our full line of digital products," says Tim Martinson, President and CEO of Virtual Imaging. "The rural hospitals surrounding Nashville need the cost saving benefits that VI offers."

"We are very excited about the merger," says Randy McMoran, former President/CEO of Central Imaging. "It is a strategic alliance that will enable us to grow a strong service and sales business in the state of Tennessee. The Canon and RadPro products are already being well received in our area, and the combination of two experienced service teams should benefit both companies."

In its three years of business, Central Imaging developed into a major remarketer of diagnostic imaging equipment, reporting over $2 million in global sales annually. In addition to refurbished equipment, Central Imaging also offers new digital imaging systems for the healthcare market.

"We welcome the addition of Central Imaging to provide retail sales andservice in the greater Nashville area," says Martinson. "Our companies' mission is to help drive down the cost of healthcare. We will support the rural hospitals surrounding Nashville in managing cost containment programs with completely priced equipment and service, along with new and remanufactured equipment."
