Dr. Heilpern received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Virginia and her medical degree from Emory University School of Medicine. She completed her residency at Temple University Hospital, with initial training and board certification in Internal Medicine followed by board certification in Emergency Medicine. After her training, Dr. Heilpern served as a medical officer for the Indian Health Service.
