Molecular Imaging
Hermes Medical Solutions, a developer of molecular imaging software, is collaborating with Siemens Healthineers to integrate its Hermia dosimetry products into the syngo.via imaging software platform.

Through the partnership, Hermes' Hermia Organ Dosimetry will be available through Siemens Healthineers’ OpenApps Digital Marketplace.

The integration aims to enhance Siemens Healthineers' molecular imaging radiotherapy offerings by providing advanced dosimetry tools for dose planning and verification. Hermia Organ Dosimetry will complement Siemens’ existing theranostics capabilities, particularly for PET and SPECT scanners.

Siemens Healthineers customers utilizing the Medical Internal Radiation Dosimetry (MIRD) methodology will benefit from Hermia Organ Dosimetry's ability to generate absorbed dose tables for over 1,000 isotopes. This feature streamlines the workflow, making it more efficient for healthcare providers to perform accurate dose calculations.

Tom Francke, CEO of Hermes Medical Solutions, stated, "As an independent, vendor-neutral software company, HMS is committed to continuous development and support for patient-personalized radionuclide therapies. Dosimetry, once the domain of researchers with complex spreadsheets, must now enter the clinical mainstream. We are extremely happy to collaborate with Siemens Healthineers to provide their customers with advanced, easy-to-use dosimetry software for the benefit of their patients."

In April, Hermes announced a similar partnership with Spectrum Dynamics, integrating Hermia's nuclear medicine and dosimetry software applications with VERITON-CT SPECT scans.
