Last summer, GE HealthCare launched a program giving select independent service organizations (ISOs) insider access to its equipment servicing resources.

The initiative, called Unite Channel Partner Service Solutions, opens up GE HealthCare parts, training, and technical service tools to qualified ISOs who are accepted into the program. Earlier this year, initial partnerships were announced with TTG Imaging Solutions and Sound Technologies Inc.

HCB News spoke to Mohamed El-Demerdash, president, U.S. & Canada Service, GE HealthCare, to learn more about Unite, and how it fits into the company's big picture equipment service strategy.

"The program reinforces GE HealthCare’s focus on ensuring quality service by providing access to GE HealthCare’s technical service tools, training and expertise, and GE HealthCare parts to a broader range of in-house service providers and qualifying ISOs," he said. "GE HealthCare is committed to our equipment operating safely and effectively while supporting in-house teams and qualifying ISOs in servicing GE HealthCare’s highly technical medical devices."

"Channel partners who qualify for the program have established Quality Management System (QMS) programs in place, including record keeping, training, documentation, and adverse event reporting," added El-Demerdash.

Philadelphia-based TTG Imaging Solutions provides nationwide equipment support specializing in nuclear medicine (SPECT and SPECT/CT), molecular imaging (PET and PET/CT), and radiation oncology. The company employs over 100 equipment experts providing an end-to-end solution for customers including equipment refurbishment, installation, relocation, apps training, repairs, maintenance, and spare parts.

“TTG Imaging Solutions is thrilled to have joined forces with GE HealthCare as part of their Unite Channel Partners program," Eric Chappelear, EVP of Equipment Sales & Service at TTG told HCB News. "This strategic partnership enhances our ability to deliver world class service to our customers with direct access to GE HealthCare's cutting-edge training, high-quality spare parts, and technical expertise.”

Carlsbad, California-based Sound Technologies provides veterinary imaging, including digital X-ray, ultrasound and CT. Last year, GE HealthCare and Sound entered an agreement bringing Vscan Air handheld ultrasound to veterinary practices across the U.S.
