Tower Health has signed a decade-long agreement with Siemens Healthineers aimed at upgrading its diagnostic imaging capabilities and improving clinical operations across radiology, cardiology, and oncology.

The partnership, structured as a Value Partnership, will provide Tower Health with updated equipment including CT, MR, and interventional radiology systems, as well as oncology solutions through Varian, a Siemens Healthineers company. The agreement also includes access to a suite of digital automation tools designed to streamline workflows and improve consistency in imaging data and reporting.

According to the West Reading, Pennsylvania-based health system, the collaboration is intended to support long-term operational stability through standardization of imaging platforms and life cycle management. The upgrades will be implemented across multiple facilities, including Reading Hospital, Phoenixville Hospital, Pottstown Hospital, and St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children.

“This partnership extends beyond merely upgrading equipment; it empowers Tower Health and our staff to uphold our dedication to clinical excellence and innovation,” said Michael Stern, president and CEO of Tower Health.

John Kowal, currently president of the Americas at Varian and incoming president and head of the Americas at Siemens Healthineers, emphasized the local impact of the agreement. “Our collaboration with Tower Health presents a significant opportunity to support a major health system in our own community,” Kowal said.

Siemens Healthineers, based in Erlangen, Germany, has framed its Value Partnerships as long-term collaborations that integrate its technology and consulting expertise with a provider’s strategic goals. These partnerships aim to address industry-wide challenges including budget pressures, workforce limitations, and access disparities.

The agreement is expected to take effect later this month.
