SCOTTSDALE, Ariz., May 28, 2025 – Helia Care today announced that it has completed the system-wide rollout of its transaction network solution with Lifepoint Health, marking the completion of a highly successful transition to a new transaction paradigm for expensive medical devices.

Helia Care, a medical device transaction network, provides healthcare providers, distributors, and suppliers with a SaaS-based frictionless provider-supplier network that replaces the wasteful, time-consuming, and expensive “bill-only” transaction. The solution, an upfront, digital handshake that structures, aligns, and enhances supplier and provider data, replaces the cumbersome bill-only process, resulting in a hard-dollar reduction of hospitals’ supply chain expenditures.

“Helia Care represents a clear solution for how we buy and how we contract, and it is entirely different from so-called ‘bill-only solutions.’ Within two months of adopting Helia Care, Lifepoint reduced its not-on-contract ‘bill-only’ spend by 50% - without even integrating Helia Care with our ERP system,” said Jay Kirkpatrick, Vice President, Supply Chain Operations at Lifepoint Health. “Our plan is to integrate Helia Care into our new ERP system once we complete our company-wide go-live schedule. Bill-only transactions have been a problem in healthcare transactions where payment is made after the product/device has been used. In these transactions, there is no up-front alignment between buyer and seller – and the process of reconciling the sides has been a major challenge.
