Todd Czartoski, MD, has been named chief physician officer of MultiCare Health System. He replaces David O’Brien, MD.
Czartoski joined MultiCare in February 2024 as the president and chief medical officer for MultiCare Neuroscience Institute and virtual health services. He’s a vascular neurologist with extensive experience in health care leadership.
Prior to joining MultiCare, Dr. Czartoski served as the chief executive of telehealth and chief medical technology officer at Providence Health & Services. He also served as the chief of neurology at Swedish Health Services.

“Todd successfully launched our new Neuroscience Institute and has evolved our virtual health services to provide better patient outcomes through innovative remote health care solutions,” said Florence Chang, president of MultiCare Health System. “He’s passionate about bringing together an integrated team and unleashing their potential to deliver the very best care to the patients we have the privilege of serving. We’re excited to have him take on this larger role.”
Dr. O’Brien will remain at MultiCare until the end of August.

Dr. Czartoski earned his medical degree from The Ohio State University and completed his neurology residency and fellowship in infectious diseases at the University of Washington. He officially began his new role June 2, 2025.
