Capstone Health Alliance and WellLink Group Purchasing have renewed their strategic partnership, extending a relationship that began in 2014. The agreement continues a shared effort to deliver group purchasing benefits to healthcare providers nationwide.

The Asheville, North Carolina-based Capstone and Cleveland, Ohio-based WellLink, formerly known as CHAMPS Group Purchasing, will maintain joint access to each other’s contract portfolios and sourcing resources. The renewal enables both organizations to continue leveraging collective buying power to drive supply chain efficiencies and cost savings for member facilities.

Maria Summers, vice president of WellLink Group Purchasing, said the renewal reinforces a focus on “transparency, collaboration, and a strong aggregation portfolio.” She added, “Our combined efforts will further empower healthcare providers to thrive in today’s evolving environment.”

Under the renewed arrangement, WellLink retains access to Capstone’s strategic sourcing support and clinical expertise, while Capstone members gain the advantage of WellLink’s national contract offerings and negotiation capabilities.

The organizations say the partnership helps participating healthcare systems manage costs while addressing market volatility and product disruptions. Through the group purchasing model, members benefit from standardized contracting, clinical integration, and reduced administrative workload.

Capstone works with hundreds of hospitals and thousands of providers nationwide. WellLink’s GPO supports over 26,000 member locations and maintains relationships with national partners including Premier and OMNIA Partners.

The renewed agreement takes effect immediately.
