Radiology Oncology Systems has acquired Radparts, a major supplier of replacement parts for linear accelerators, in a move that broadens its portfolio of refurbished radiation oncology and diagnostic imaging equipment.

The acquisition was announced ahead of the ASTRO 2025 conference in San Francisco and marks a strategic alignment between two independent players in the radiation therapy supply chain. ROS, based in San Diego, California, specializes in reconditioned imaging and therapy systems, while Michigan-based Radparts has built a reputation as a leading independent distributor of OEM parts for linear accelerators. Radparts was previously part of Catalyst MedTech.

ROS said the integration will create a more comprehensive equipment and service offering by combining refurbished systems with a robust inventory of replacement components. These include items such as RF drivers, klystrons, magnetrons, multileaf collimator motors, and power supplies.

“We are excited to welcome Radparts to the ROS family,” said John Vano, president of ROS. “This acquisition strengthens our mission to deliver world-class, comprehensive solutions that empower healthcare providers to focus on patient care with confidence in their equipment’s performance.”

Radparts vice president of operations Wendy Summers said the deal will expand customer access to both parts and systems. “This partnership enhances our ability to serve customers by combining our extensive parts inventory with ROS’s expertise in refurbished systems, creating a one-stop solution for our customers across the globe.”

Both companies will maintain their current operations for now, with ROS aiming to offer a more integrated sourcing model for radiation therapy providers and service organizations. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The companies are presenting more details about the partnership during the ASTRO conference, which runs through Oct. 1.
