Avanos Medical and Siemens Healthineers have entered a co-marketing agreement aimed at expanding the use of integrated imaging and radiofrequency ablation (RFA) technologies in outpatient and interventional pain management.

The partnership will focus on equipping ambulatory surgery centers, hospitals, and interventional pain clinics with tools that combine Siemens’ mobile imaging systems and Avanos’ RFA devices. Both companies say the goal is to support more efficient workflows and improve procedural precision as pain care continues to shift away from inpatient hospital settings.

The Alpharetta, Georgia-based Avanos brings to the partnership its RFA systems used in nerve ablation procedures to manage chronic pain. Siemens Healthineers, based in Erlangen, Germany, contributes mobile C-arm imaging systems such as the Cios Select and Cios Flow, which are designed to support real-time imaging during minimally invasive procedures.

Christiana Gallagher, head of mobile C-arms for North America at Siemens Healthineers, said, "Our mobile c-arm systems are designed to improve clinical performance and simplify daily procedures." Felicia Kurz, head of advanced therapies for North America, added, "This collaboration brings those benefits to more pain management settings, giving outpatient centers the tools to expand their capabilities, work efficiently, and provide exceptional care for their patients."

The companies will initially focus on the U.S. market and plan to jointly promote the integrated solution through coordinated sales training, educational efforts, and marketing campaigns.
