Infosys to acquire Optimum Healthcare IT to expand provider-focused services

Infosys has agreed to acquire Optimum Healthcare IT, a Jacksonville Beach, Florida-based consulting firm focused on healthcare digital transformation, in a move aimed at strengthening its position with provider organizations.

The Bengaluru, India-based company said the transaction will expand its capabilities in working with health systems on clinical and operational technology initiatives. Financial terms were not disclosed. The deal is expected to close in the first quarter of Infosys’ fiscal year 2027, pending regulatory approvals.

Optimum Healthcare IT provides services including electronic health record advisory, implementation support, and workforce management. The firm has been recognized by KLAS for its work with healthcare providers and maintains partnerships with companies such as ServiceNow, AWS, Workday, and Microsoft Azure.

Infosys indicated that the acquisition will broaden its access to provider clients while adding domain expertise in healthcare operations. The company also plans to integrate Optimum’s services with its existing cloud, cybersecurity, and application modernization offerings.

Optimum’s leadership emphasized continuity following the acquisition. “With Infosys' long-term investment and global scale behind us, we're positioned to accelerate AI and digital-led growth and expand what we can deliver while remaining anchored in the values, service model, and healthcare focus our clients count on,” said Gene Scheurer, CEO and cofounder of Optimum Healthcare IT.

The acquisition reflects continued consolidation in the healthcare IT consulting market, as large technology firms seek to deepen relationships with provider organizations pursuing cloud migration, data integration, and operational modernization.
