Heart Medical LLC has entered into a distribution agreement with Philips Healthcare to supply the company’s cardiovascular ultrasound systems across the United States.

The arrangement positions the Carlsbad, California-based distributor as an authorized channel for Philips’ cardiac imaging portfolio, targeting cardiologists and cardiac imaging centers.

Under the agreement, Heart Medical will provide access to several Philips systems used in cardiovascular diagnostics. These include the EPIQ CVx, designed for advanced imaging applications; the Affiniti CVx, which is typically used in higher-volume clinical settings; and the Affiniti Lite, a newer system intended for outpatient facilities and physician offices. The portfolio also includes the Compact 5500CV, a portable option for cardiovascular imaging.
The companies said the agreement is intended to streamline how providers acquire imaging systems by working through a distributor focused specifically on cardiology. In addition to equipment access, Heart Medical will offer clinical support and application training tailored to cardiac workflows.
