Quality Biomedical has acquired M&M Medical Equipment Repair, a Pennsylvania-based respiratory equipment service company, expanding its service network in the Mid-Atlantic and Midwest.
M&M Medical Equipment Repair has operated for nearly 40 years, specializing in the repair and maintenance of respiratory medical equipment. The acquisition adds another service center to Quality Biomedical's national network as the company continues to expand its geographic coverage.
According to Quality Biomedical, the transaction also adds original equipment manufacturer (OEM) service authorizations, broadening the range of respiratory equipment the company is authorized to service.

“We have built the most comprehensive respiratory service platform in the country,” said PK Bala, CEO of Quality Biomedical. “The acquisition of M&M is a natural extension of our strategy and brings incremental OEM service authorizations, allowing us to offer an even more comprehensive solution to our customers managing complex, multi-OEM fleets.”
M&M CEO Ed Minor said the company viewed the acquisition as an opportunity to transition the business after four decades while maintaining support for its existing customers.
“After approximately 40 years in business, it makes sense for us to partner with the leader in respiratory service equipment,” Minor said. “Quality Biomedical understands our business and will take care of our existing customers, while bringing a wealth of technology and operational excellence that will help take our company to the next level.”
Quality Biomedical operates six service centers across the United States and serves more than 3,000 home medical equipment (HME) and post-acute care locations. The company is an authorized service center for multiple respiratory equipment manufacturers and offers its QConnect platform, which provides customers with data on respiratory equipment inventories, including warranty and out-of-warranty assets.
The Pinellas Park, Florida-based company announced the acquisition July 10. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
