Medtec Medical Service & Equipment GmbH is headquartered in Drantum, Germany. The company is now in the DOTmed 100 (Managing Director Alexander Prox is DM Certified, too). Medtec's staff says its hard work has led it to be the premier medical imaging service company for Europe, particularly for Germany and Italy.


"Our highly skilled and trained personnel have up to 20 years of combined experience over a wide range of products including computerized radiology, digital imaging, digital enhancement, conventional film developing and quality control," explains Andrea Leimke, Export Manager.

In business since 1998, the company provides services worldwide including equipment sales, installation, maintenance, dismantling, rental/leases, upgrades, warehousing, project design, network topologies and repairs of sensitometers, densitometers, film processors, daylight systems, wet and dry laser printers, CR Systems, PACS/RIS systems, X-Ray-systems (mobile, rad rooms) C-Arms, DR Systems/DR retrofit, mammo units and fluororays. The equipment is new, preowned or refurbished, obtained from OEMs or hospitals. Medtec keeps a large inventory and warehouse, 1,500 square meters in space, to service its customers, mainly hospitals, universities, radiologists and other end-users.

"We are able to retrofit a conventional X-ray system into a DR system including the highest quality aspects, connection to RIS/HIS, KIS and PACS," Leimke says.

The company and its approximately 30 employees feel that their most important strengths in the worldwide medical equipment market are the commitments to flexibility, speed of service, reliability and availability 24/7. In addition, the company also focuses on customer satisfaction, acknowledgment of environmental concerns, legal and technical requirements, cost control and good relationships with its suppliers.
