Medicopex GmbH has again been listed in the DOTmed 100 for 2008. Medicopex, located in Oberasbach, Germany, is highly specialized in CT and MRI imaging spare part supplies and related services. DOTmed Certified Florian Dickopp, Medicopex's Director, has experience in the business with more than 15 successful years in the field. He told DOTmed News, "We are proud to be one of the first choices when the discussion comes to used CT and MRI equipment from Europe."

Dickopp explained why he felt that Medicopex was again in the DOTmed 100 list, including Medicopex striving to provide top quality preowned CT and MRI systems at affordable prices. "All our systems have been thoroughly tested and meet their manufacturers' specifications. We offer reliable and effective spare parts service, including CT X-ray tubes and service, shipping and installation worldwide."

The philosophy of Medicopex, Dickopp emphasizes, is giving the best service to both global customers who trust in the company through their significant financial investments in Medicopex's systems, and also to the sellers from whom Medicopex purchases equipment. A matter of pride for Medicopex and Dickopp is their long-term presence in the marketplace, which has led to customers returning for their next generation systems.

Dickopp explains, "Since the early days the business recognized that not only the sales of imaging equipment is important but also the availability of the engineering force - i.e., help our customers once the equipment is sold." Most of the equipment is sold in international markets where customers prefer to have well-serviced systems in excellent shape, and from a source which doesn't just sugar-coat the potential of the equipment, but offers realistic advice. The company has been working with many of the customers for more than a decade, through good times and even bad times, which for Dickopp means that not only trust has developed but also friendship.

Dickopp says all technical services are performed by engineers who specialize in the modality, manufacturer and mostly down to specific system. "Most important for us," he continues, "is that we do only buy what we have also inspected upfront -- this means even before placing an offer on a certain system. Being in the market for almost 20 years we have a lot of experience and engineering knowledge with this sensitive kind of equipment."

Dickopp feels that a presence on DOTmed has helped as a platform to get in touch with interested customers from all over the world. "The DOTmed 100 is a very good measurement to see who is also seriously working in the market, as a seller as well as a buyer," Dickopp says. "It also gives seriously interested buyers a hint about the corporation behind the name and their activities and sometimes helps to make some decisions upfront."
