Congratulations go out to Minnetronix, Inc. for being named the small & growing company recipient of the Medical Technology Award at the 2008 Tekne Awards, which honor superior technology advancement and leadership in Minnesota.
Minnetronix president and CEO Rich Nazarian, speaking of the award, said, "It was a great honor that the Tekne judges and the MHTA board identified us for what we are doing and want to thank them for their hard work on behalf of technology and technology education in Minnesota," he said. "This year's recipients are outstanding examples of innovation and leadership," said Kate Rubin, president, MHTA after the Awards. "Minnetronix is helping to secure Minnesota's place as a center of innovation in the global economy."
Judges selected one recipient out of three finalists in each of the 17 Tekne Awards categories recognizing the best and brightest in development, education, commercialization, and management of technology. Company awards included separate categories for small and growing businesses (with annual revenues under $50 million) and established businesses (with annual revenues of $50 million or more).
The ceremony was held at the Minneapolis Convention Center Oct. 30.
