Tomovation's name says it all: Tomography meets Innovation. The German company was founded by in 2003 as a holding and sales operation dedicated to the tomography market, especially MRI. The company owns and operates imaging centers in Germany and invests in early-stage European medical technology companies.

"In the last three years we have started and spun off six companies and are still invested in five MRI-related companies," said CEO and President Michael H. Friebe, PhD. "Tomovation is always interested in new and exciting technologies in the field of MRI and can provide financing, development, production, and sales support for entrepreneurs and companies." Friebe does consulting for manufacturers, venture capital companies, and medical institutions on all aspects of MRI systems and accessories.

Tomovation is also a brick-and-mortar operation that owns two buildings designed for storage and refurbishment of MRI systems including more than 15,000 square feet of warehousing and laboratory space. In addition to refurbishing, a forte for the company is rental of CT and MRI systems in Central Europe, through its Innolease financing program, which includes all service expenses.
