RSNA 2005 Pre-show Report

by Barbara Kram, Editor | October 12, 2005
RSNA 2005 (the Radiological Society of North America's annual meeting) will be held in Chicago November 27 - December 2. It's the key trade show of the year for healthcare professionals who want to stay ahead of the curve on new technologies in radiology.

Case in point is Philips Medical Systems' latest computer tomography (CT) innovations being demonstrated at this year's meeting. Several revolutionary workflow enhancements have been built into their Brilliance CT family and the Brilliance Workspace. The new design elements improve the experience for both the user and the patient before, during and after the exam. In addition, Ambient Experience for CT is no longer just a concept, but a series of products and custom solutions installed in several locations globally, according to the company.

Philips will continue to demonstrate its leadership in CT with dramatic new examples of the clinical effectiveness of its Brilliance family of scanners. New clinical applications will be highlighted for three distinct specialties: radiology, cardiology and oncology.
