The American Organization of Nurse Executives, an AHA subsidiary, has announced its 2009 class of Nurse Manager Fellows. The nurse managers will begin their fellowship year with a five-day meeting this week.
"Once again we are impressed with the caliber of these nurse managers and the commitment to their development from their nurse executives and organizations," said AONE CEO Pamela Thompson.
The year-long program is designed to meet the practice needs of the nurse manager and prepare the next generation of executive-level nurse leaders. The fellowship will incorporate AONE's work with the Nurse Manager Leadership Partnership and its Learning Domain Framework.
