Medical Device Meeting: Call for Papers

The Materials Information Society:
A call for papers
Jeremy Gilbert, Ph.D. of Syracuse University will chair the organizing committee for the 2009 Conference on Materials and Processes for Medical Devices (MPMD), organized by ASM International, The Materials Information Society. A call for papers has been issued for the event. The meeting will be held Aug. 10-12 in Minneapolis.

Gilbert is Professor of Biomaterials in the L.C. Smith College of Engineering and Computer Science at SU. He is also a member and founder of the Syracuse Biomaterials Institute, assistant editor of the Journal of Biomedical Materials Research, and a member of the council of the Society for Biomaterials.

Held every 24 months, the MPMD event focuses on new advances and innovations in the science, technology and application of medical device materials and manufacturing.
