AuntMinnie.com founder Dr. Phillip Berman passed away February 8 from lung cancer, the web site reports. Dr. Berman was 55.
A radiologist by training, he founded several companies in the field. "He had a major role in the growth and development of several important trends in medical imaging, including teleradiology software, desktop-based computed radiography, and Internet publishing," AuntMinnie.com reports.
A Harvard graduate, Dr. Berman went to med school at the Medical College of Pennsylvania and completed his residency at UC San Diego.
