LG Medical Technologies has opened their new home office in East Dundee, Illinois a western suburb of Chicago. In addition the company, specializing in short and long-term CT and MR rentals, has a new CFO. Ken Lancaster joined LG Medical Technologies as Chief Financial Officer in January. Prior to joining LG, Ken was with Shared Imaging.
"We have recently attained some significant benchmarks in establishing LG Medical Technologies a premier provider of MRI/CT equipment and marketer of medical modular buildings," said President
Jim Gallagher, "In recent weeks we have established new offices, purchased a state-of-the-art mobile MRI that will be used in our interim rental program, and brought on a CFO. We expect great success from these positive developments and look forward to being a notable player in the diagnostic imaging and medical modular building market."

Recent MRI acquisition: They recently acquired a GE 1.5 Signa HDI 8 Channel MRI in a mobile trailer. The MRI will be available in late March. This MRI is one of the most advanced in the market today and offers scanning flexibility and diversity to both big and small hospitals.
Modular buildings: LG has partnered with Mark Line Industries, a major manufacturer and supplier of mobile/modular buildings. Each LG Mark Line structure is custom built to occupancy and code requirements for the designated building site. GE and Toshiba have pre-approved their modulars to meet all site and installation requirements. (The company also recently sold a medical modular building to a major medical facility in the Boston area.)

LG Medical Technologies offers CT and MRI systems by GE, Siemens and Toshiba Medical. Their programs are designed to assist medical facility needs with both short-term interims (one month) and long-term fixed (3-7 year) rental systems. Equipment can be installed in-house, in mobile units or in OEM approved modular environments. LG provides fee-for-scan or flat monthly rate programs, which include contract provisions limiting cost exposure as provider scan volume grows.
