The IAMERS Annual Meeting
will be held at the Intercontinental
Hotel in Puerto Rico April 30-May 2
The International Association of Medical Equipment Remarketers and Servicers (IAMERS) is holding its 2009 Annual Meeting April 30-May 2 at the Intercontinental Hotel in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
In keeping with the locale, the Latin American market for medical equipment will be a major topic. On the agenda are industry updates, and business strategies including effective negotiations. A financial talk on "How to Get Your Deals Done in the New World" will be given by Patrick Hiney of De Lage Landen.
On the regulatory front, an FDA official will brief members on the laws regarding Unique Device Identifiers (UDIs) used to label and track equipment, as well as post-market surveillance. While legislation is in place requiring UDIs, the exact implementation and regulation of Federal oversight is something that professionals want to learn about.
