Chad Park, D.D.S., has been named to Parkland Health & Hospital System's Board of Managers. He was appointed by the Dallas County Commissioners Court to fill the vacancy when Allan Shulkin, M.D., stepped down.
"We welcome Dr. Park and look forward to working with him as we embark on an exciting time for both Parkland and Dallas County," said Lauren McDonald, M.D., chair of Parkland Board of Managers. "We are also grateful for Dr. Shulkin's contributions to the Board for the past five years. He was an integral part of several milestones for Parkland including the recent success of the bond election."
Dr. Park is an avid volunteer within the community and a member of numerous local and professional organizations including Dallas County Public Health Advisory Board, Texas Dental Association and the Dallas/Fort Worth Taiwanese Chamber of Commerce. He is currently the chief operating officer for South Texas Dental in Dallas.

"I am very honored to have been appointed to the Parkland Board of Managers and will work diligently to help continue the mission of providing the finest health care services to the citizens of Dallas County," said Dr. Park.
Dr. Park received a bachelor of arts degree in biology from the University of Texas and a doctor of dental surgery from the University of Texas Health Science Center, San Antonio. He will graduate with an executive degree from Harvard Business School in 2010.
