PLYMOUTH MEETING, PA - The Mid-Atlantic OSHA Training Institute (OTI) Education Center, an authorized OSHA Training Institute (OTI) Education Center, today announces its expansion into Western Pennsylvania through a new sponsorship with Slippery Rock University. ECRI Institute is the lead organization for the Mid-Atlantic OTI Education Center, which comprises the Chesapeake Region Safety Council, the Mid-Atlantic Construction Safety Council, and the Johns Hopkins Hospital and Health System. Slippery Rock University's Division of Lifelong Learning is committed to providing a wide variety of educational options for the Western Pennsylvania business community, including customized workforce training, certification programs, and continuing education courses.
"We are very pleased to now be able to provide OSHA training and workforce development to construction, manufacturing, business, and healthcare industries through our Regional Learning Alliance. By offering employee health and safety education courses, we hope to help businesses succeed in Pennsylvania, leading to business growth and expanded employment opportunities for Pennsylvania residents," says Dr. James Kushner, dean of Lifelong Learning, Slippery Rock University.

Mid-Atlantic OSHA courses will be offered at Slippery Rock University's Regional Learning Alliance, located in Cranberry Township, PA, near Pittsburgh. The facility has 28 classrooms, computer labs, and teleconferencing and conference capabilities.
In addition to the new Western Pennsylvania location, the Mid-Atlantic OTI Education Center offers outreach training and employee and occupational health and safety training and education programs at locations throughout the mid-Atlantic region, including the greater Philadelphia, Allentown, Harrisburg, Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, and Baltimore areas, as well as Ocean City, MD, and Washington, DC.
