Whether for mammography, referring doctors, on the international market or just to back-up your systems with hard film copies, laser cameras are still somewhat in demand throughout the medical community.

"The printers have definitely been de-emphasized, but people still have them, they are just using them a lot less," Thompson says. "If a hospital had four, they may be down to one now."
But those involved with them are growing tired of the talk that they will soon be obsolete.
"When I first started in this business seven years ago, I was told laser cameras were going away. Maybe it's true, but we're still growing both here and abroad," says Moretti. "We are gaining a lot more customers. We've seen a little bit of slowing as far as printer sales but we're keeping those printers alive out there. If they are going digital, they may do away with it but it's my job to keep that printer in the facility with a good quality part at a great price."
And when asked about whether they will disappear in the future, Motetti was confident in saying "I'm not going to let them go away!"
