"IMES buys, sells, and refurbishes all diagnostic imaging systems, and provides installation and logistical work for these systems," said Trey McIntyre, president of the company. "We also have a replacement parts division that supports local hospitals and physicians in our community, as well as throughout the world."

Now in its sixth year, the company has added five employees since it began and has seen business grow so much that they have moved into a 24,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art warehouse, near their Fort Mill, SC headquarters. The new warehouse is fully climate controlled, with MRI storage and CT test bays, and parts.

"This will allow us to provide even better support for current and future customers," McIntyre said. "Our new location will allow us to offer even more logistical support and expand our inventory."

The biggest challenge to date has been managing the rapid growth, but that's a problem that McIntyre is happy to have.

"Our motto is 'Hometown feel, Global reach' and we enforce that philosophy by building relationships that last a lifetime with our customers, wherever they are located in the world," McIntyre said. "We do that by understanding their needs and providing reliable solutions that are cost-effective, and then standing behind everything we do."

McIntyre believes that this has allowed the company to create a base of repeat customers who trust them to provide an efficient path to upgrading their systems and parts.
