A partnership between Venyu and InSite One, announced Tuesday, will offer health care providers trying to keep up with the rapid advances in electronic medical records the full package when it comes to data protection and archiving for EMRs and other digital data.
The affiliation between Venyu, a company focused on data protection, availability and recovery, and InSite One, centered on medical data archiving and exchange, will create an "end-to-end solution," for clients, says Brian Vandegrift, Venyu's vice president.
"We see an exponential growth in medical records that health care entities are having to keep, and the retention of those records are just driving IT professionals in the health care industry to literally pull their hair out," he says.

Venyu, a subsidiary of PHNS, offers the potential for partnership expansion, while InSite One's InDex Enterprise Archive software creates a tamper-proof HIPAA-compliant environment.
The two companies started to move forward as a team last November, realizing they could provide a better service if they were able to offer both archiving and protection to their clients, says Vandegrift.
"You can't go into the health care industry with half a solution," he explains.
