Imaging 100 takes
places March 20-23
in Braselton, Ga.
While company executives are well-respected and experts in their particular fields, they often have something holding them back, according to Tommy Thomas, management team leader of Opposite Strengths, Inc. At an upcoming meeting of diagnostic imaging executives Thomas will present information about how to face not a person's weakness, but rather his or her "opposite strength."
"Most people think about themselves in terms of strengths and weaknesses," says Thomas. "It's the basic concept in our culture. I'll present a different mindset of that approach...strengths and strengths."
Thomas will be presenting this leadership session with Charlie Baker, executive coach at Ernst & Young, in a lecture titled "Leading From Strengths for Sustained Success" on Monday, March 22 at 8:00 a.m. as part of the Imaging 100 Conference.

Thomas hopes to reach a certain niche of professionals: executives in health services organizations. He thinks this group will benefit the most, in terms of helping better themselves and their organizations.
One of the messages here is that people need to solve problems that they bring upon themselves by tapping strengths they don't usually recognize as strengths. For example, executives who are successful have become very self-confident, which is good, but they may have isolated themselves, and they don't realize they can be part of a close-knit team.
"They tend to want to go it alone and take most of the credit for themselves," Thomas says. "This creates the isolation problem, and they take on more than they can handle."
These and other dynamics will be explored in the executive session.
The 4th Annual Imaging 100 will bring together leaders from all facets of the medical imaging industry March 20-23 at the Chateau Elan Golf Resort & Winery in Braselton, Georgia.
