"Our center will tell them, 'we don't care where you have it; you don't have to have it here. Just have' it," says Deibert.
For those New Jersey women who avoid mammograms for financial reasons, proceeds from Paint the Town Pink will help them afford a screening. These donations are part of the center's Pink Fund.

"A lot of people are out of work right and now and kind of fall through the cracks," Deibert says. "They don't qualify financially [for certain payment programs], but they're the working poor or unemployed, and we fill the gap."
This year's event will kickoff May 1 with a pink retail event in and around Red Bank, or "Pink Bank" as it becomes, with participating pink businesses. There are events for people of all ages, according to the organizers.
