Jay Crowley of the U.S. FDA and Mark Leahey, President of the Medical Device Manufacturers Association have joined the faculty of the 17th IAMERS Annual Meeting, which will be held April 28 - 30 at the Washington Marriott Hotel, Washington, D.C.
Crowley, a respected and experienced FDA officer has agreed to discuss the congressionally mandated "Unique Device Identifier" and "Post-Market Surveillance" programs.
Mark Leahey, the noted and experienced MDMA president will offer an industry perspective and general comments on legislative and regulatory developments.

Richard Paddock from the International Trade Organization/Department of Commerce and Kevin Sirmons from the U.S. Patent and Trademark Organization will speak, respectively, on New Developments in Foreign Trade (including Brazil) and IP Developments of importance to IAMERS members. Other programs to be presented include Small Business Initiatives, Electronic Health Records and Their Meaningful Use, and the Economics of Health Care.
IAMERS has confirmed that U.S. Congressman Ron Kind will be the keynote speaker.
