Carestream Health earned an award from business research group Frost & Sullivan for its X-ray upgrade kit, the company announced Wednesday.
Rochester, N.Y.-based Carestream received the 2010 European Digital Radiography New Product Innovation Award for its kit, called DRX-1 System, launched last year.
The kit is a cassette-sized wireless detector panel that fits into normal cassette buckies, letting radiologists "convert" analog or computed radiography into direct radiography systems.
