MALVERN, Pa. & WOBURN, Mass., Feb 27, 2006 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Siemens Medical Solutions with its subsidiary PETNET(R) Pharmaceuticals, Inc. announced today it has acquired full ownership of New England PETNET Manufacturing & Distribution Center, LLC in Woburn, Mass. The acquisition, a result of continuing efforts of expansion, enables Siemens and PETNET to provide biomarkers for clinical and preclinical Positron Emission Tomography (PET) imaging to the New England region through PETNET's SafetyNet(TM) international network of more than 45 manufacturing and distribution centers. PETNET, Siemens' distribution channel for biomarkers, is the world's leading producer and distributor of PET biomarkers, with the largest U.S. network of cyclotron-equipped radiopharmacies.
