Former Sonora Medical Systems executive Bruce Smith
recently launched Medical Systems Technologies, DOTmed News has learned.
Based in Longmont, Colo., a short trek north of Denver, the company specializes in depot repair of CT and MRI scanners, the company said.
"We are excited to be able to offer a high-quality repair option to the medical community," Smith said Thursday in prepared remarks. "Our services will help hospitals, imaging centers, ISOs and OEMs control costs, increase up times and ultimately provide better care for the patients who need this equipment."
For those who need to move fast and expand clinical capabilities -- and would love new equipment -- the uCT 550 Advance offers a new fully configured 80-slice CT in up to 2 weeks with routine maintenance and parts and Software Upgrades for Life™ included.
Smith, a 30-year industry veteran, most recently served as vice president of multi-vendor service business for Sonora Medical Systems. He also spent 16 years with GE Medical Systems, according to the company's website.
Sonora Medical Systems Inc., also based in Longmont, is a division of privately held Unisyn Medical Technologies Inc.
