Bruce Smith recently launched Medical Systems Technologies, DOTmed News has learned.
Based in Longmont, Colo., a short trek north of Denver, the company specializes in depot repair of CT and MRI scanners, the company said.
"We are excited to be able to offer a high-quality repair option to the medical community," Smith said Thursday in prepared remarks. "Our services will help hospitals, imaging centers, ISOs and OEMs control costs, increase up times and ultimately provide better care for the patients who need this equipment."

Smith, a 30-year industry veteran, most recently served as vice president of multi-vendor service business for Sonora Medical Systems. He also spent 16 years with GE Medical Systems, according to the company's website.
