Decision makers at the rural facilities cited fast systems installation as a key reason for selecting Novarad. Additionally, the offering of completely turnkey systems on a subscription basis - for affordability - was another primary factor. The turnkey systems include dictation, scheduling, image capture, orthopedic, MIP/MPR, reports, interfaces, cardio, mammography tracking, film digitize, paper scan, software obsolescence, hardware maintenance and replacement, OR carts, installation, training, on-going training, continuous software updates and documentation, finger-print sign on, hi-res monitors, CD publishers and bar code readers.

NovaPACS features radiologist viewer, tech workstations, unlimited web licenses, enterprise archive manager, on-site storage, DICOM 3.0 server/router and off-site emergency backup. NovaRIS includes scheduling and reporting modules, billing interface, workflow tracking, document scanning capability, and complete patient data base management. ClinicPACS, orthopedic PACS offers viewer, integrated orthopedic trauma templates and pre-op planning tools in one package.

"Improving efficiencies and being fiscally prudent remain a primary objectives for medical practices today," said Paul Shumway, Novarad vice president. "We are told time and again that our systems are chosen because they provide everything at a pricing model that is affordable. Radiologists love them because they are easy to use and CFOs love them because they deliver rapid ROI."
