GE unveils suitcase-sized mammography concept

"Less than 1 percent of health care spending is on diagnostics," Sue Siegel, general partner at Mohr Davidow, said at the conference, even though clinical decision-making depends on it.

Winners will be announced in the first quarter next year, GE said, and will be selected by a panel which includes GE executives, VC partners and various academics.
