UPDATE: Congress passes 'doc fix'
by Brendon Nafziger, DOTmed News Associate Editor | February 17, 2012
The House of Representatives voted 293 to 132, and the Senate 60 to 36, to pass legislation Friday that blocks a 27.4 percent Medicare reimbursement cut to doctors scheduled to take effect next month, C-SPAN reports. The approved conference report to H.R. 3630, which also extends payroll tax cuts, keeps the Medicare cut freeze going throughout 2012. The bill now is headed to President Obama to be signed, C-SPAN said.
