SHELTON, CT - Anton/Bauer® MPS, a Vitec Group company and a premier provider of mobile power systems for the medical technology industry, has appointed Chris Conkey as its new Regional Account Manager, West Coast. Conkey, a veteran of the healthcare industry, will focus on driving sales in the western U.S. territory by promoting Anton/Bauer MPS battery and charger products and the technology behind them. In addition, Conkey will aim to foster relationships with new channel partners, hospitals and medical institutions on the west coast, while further strengthening existing ones.

Chris Conkey brings 20 years of healthcare industry experience in the areas of sales and business development, most recently serving as the Director of Business Development for RXinsider, a multimedia and software company providing innovative technologies throughout the healthcare and higher education markets. Prior to his time there, Conkey held various sales and sales training roles with Intelligent Hospital Systems, builder of automated IV robotics and delivery systems, as well as Baxa Corporation, an IV admixture and delivery system provider. Conkey began his medical sales career with Organon Pharmaceuticals, before moving into Abbott Laboratories' hospital product division.
Conkey holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Rhode Island and resides just outside of Portland, Oregon with his wife and two children.
