Sonitor Technologies Inc. has agreed to supply its RTLS solutions as part of STERIS Corporation's RealView Visual Workflow Management Software, according to a statement from the companies.

"We have recently deployed several perioperative projects with STERIS and look forward to continuing to provide real-time solutions for healthcare provider communication, awareness, and workflow efficiency within the perioperative patient care environment," said Arvid Gomez, president of Sonitor Technologies, a company that manufactures ultrasound-based RTLS technology.

In the past, STERIS and Sonitor have worked together on real-time patient workflow solutions with GI labs, cardiac cath labs and other high volume, procedure-based areas outside the OR.
According to Randy Tomaszewski, director of marketing for Perioperative Solutions for STERIS, this allows health systems to achieve best practices "through real-time benchmarking, data sharing and continuous efficiency improvements."

STERIS, based in Mentor, Ohio, is a supplier of infection prevention and surgical products and services.
