Huestis Medical, a manufacturer of radiotherapy equipment and remanufacturer of diagnostic imaging equipment, has been purchased by Best Medical International, Inc.
Best Medical and its family of companies manufacture a wide array of radiotherapy products. Based in Springfield, Virginia, Best Medical also has facilities in Ottawa & Vancouver, Canada; Dijon, France; Dsseldorf, Germany; Nashville, Tennessee; and Norcross, Georgia.
Huestis Medical, headquartered in Bristol, Rhode Island since 1975, is a well-known manufacturer of ISO 9001:2000 quality radiotherapy products, which include the HuestisCascade NT radiographic/fluoroscopic simulator, the Huestis Styro-Former manual block cutter, the Huestis CompuCutter III computerized block cutter, the Huestis CompuFormer tissue compensator for IMRT and other radiotherapy procedures. In addition, Huestis Medical manufactures collimators for a range of X-ray applications and radiotherapy accessories.
Huestis subsidiaries Huestis ARI (American Radiographics, Inc.), Pro-Tronics and Huestis Industrial were included in the sale. Huestis ARI, located in Taunton, MA and Chicago based Huestis Pro-Tronics, are ISO 9001:2000 diagnostic imaging specialists who offer thoroughly remanufactured equipment ranging from GE AMX Portables, GE R&F Rooms, and OEC C-Arms to Liebel-Flarsheim Urology Suites. Each thoroughly remanufactured unit is supplied with all necessary electrical, mechanical, and cosmetic upgrades, providing the crisp imaging and clean operation of a brand new unit.
Huestis Industrial, also headquartered in Bristol, RI, is a dynamic global leader in specialized wire, cable and fiber optic machine production. ISO 9001:2000 registered manufacturing supports the acclaimed Air-MiserTM air-wipes, Bendmaster IITM CNC tube bender, Cable Jacket Stripper, pay-off / take-up stands, accumulators, buncher payoff stands, standard and fiber-optic spoolers. Huestis is also the exclusive N.A. distributor of PWM cold pressure welders and dies.
