American Fork, Utah - September 13, 2006 -University Imaging Center in Vineland, N.J. is the latest to install NovaPACS by NovaRad Corporation to enable radiologists to access and read images on demand.

University Imaging Center specializes in MRI. It offers open and upright MRI technology that allows patients to sit or stand for the scan and is ideal for patients who are claustrophobic, larger sized, and who have difficulty lying down.

Prior to the installation of NovaPACS, University Imaging Center was outsourcing its image reading, however to improve cost efficiency and enhance control of its images the Center opted to install a PACS solution onsite.

After evaluating several PACS, NovaRad's NovaPACS solution was selected because of its quality, cost, scalability and rapid installation time.

Installation was finished in just days and the Center was completely filmless in less than a week.

"The installation was quick and seamless, there was no interruption in our day-to-day business," said Farrukh Kazmi, director, University Imaging Center. "Our radiologists can now access and read images, securely, at the Center or remotely.

Today, University Imaging Center completes more than 2,000 MRI studies per year. It plans to add additional modalities in the near future and will read the images using NovaRad.
