I am Akane Naka from Japan,
an intern at DOTmed.

diary every week here in

Hi, Yuko, our Japanese intern, went back to Japan on last Sunday. The empty desk she used makes us miss her. Anyway, let me introduce our new salesperson this week. His name is Michael Friedman who had been in Information Technology Consulting Business before he joined DOTmed. He likes to hike mountains and bicycle in his free time. He thinks DOTmed is a wonderful place to work because he is selling DOTmed, and he believes DOTmed gives people excellent value. We are glad to work with such a pleasant individual.

Last week (still Yuko was here), I went to the Metropolitan Museum of Art, one of the most famous museums in New York, with Yuko. There were many sections decided by nations such as American, European, Asian, Egyptian, Greek, African and so on. When we first entered inside, we were attracted by the beautiful architecture.

We really liked Egyptian Arts that has the figures of sphinx and mummy, and wall paintings. They were so unique and interesting to see. There were some Japanese traditional collections in Asian gallery - hanging scrolls, an ewer for use in tea ceremony, a bust of warrior, etc. - that made me feel a little weird somehow because I could see them overseas.

Also, I liked wandering in some shops that were located each floor. They provide us many products for kids related the arts. Especially, the books are very intelligible and interesting. I assume that those things are good for foreigners like me as well because they are written in simple English, and then we can understand more clearly about the arts. (They have guidebooks of the arts in other languages, too.)

I am so sure I will spend more time in the museum while I am in New York. If it is difficult for you to visit there, click below to take a visual tour. You will find a lot of interesting collections. Enjoy!
