Hi. Last week DOTmed members had a marketing lecture by Robert Garment, our Director of Marketing. (Get his tips at Marketing Insider in News section every week!) He has been in marketing field for many years and known how to deal with advertising and that stuff very well. We discussed how we could keep up our website and provide better services to users based on his ideas. We will see and set the ideas forward in the future. As for me, it was a good opportunity to be there for my understanding of American business scene.
Turning to another topic, I went to a community center to take part in volunteer on last Saturday, as it is my pleasure to work on it. This time I signed up for the Love a Library project Revitalize the Library. The task I did was that assisting in color coding the books with labels, creating displays for the shelves, cleaning and organizing the book shelves, assisting in making the room for kid friendly and so on.
There were different kinds of donated books such as picture books, non-fiction, fiction, photographs and references. I found many books about health and obesity for kids. Since I know overweight children is one of big issues in the U.S., I hope the books will help them.

The project was planned for 4 hours, yet we could not finish it up on time. Therefore we stayed extra hours to be done, and might return to work on other miscellaneous tasks in near future. Anyway, I am happy know all children will be able to use the revitalized library and wish they would enjoy reading!
