Hi, I would like to introduce you a DOTmed new staff this week. Her name is Amanda Doreson who is originally from New York and has a bachelors degree in Political Science from Washington University. She just started working with us last week. She likes reading, shopping and doing pilates that makes her relax. She wrote many articles about politics and her opinions in papers at a nonprofit organization before, and at DOTmed, she mainly works as a writer, too. She is excited to be here and hopes to contribute to our business! Welcome to DOTmed, Amanda!
As for me, on last Saturday night, I went to
Brooklyn Museum with my roommates. They have a popular program called Target First Saturday - free music and entertainment from 5pm to 11pm on the first Saturday of each month. We can also look around all exhibitions during the time.
On that night, they had a dance party, and they even sold alcohol drinks there. Dont you think it is a fresh idea to have a party and drink in the museum? I felt kind of weird but enjoyed the mood.

Also, there was a very interesting exhibition by Ron Mueck (Australian, b. 1958) His works in the museum were a nine-foot sculpture of a naked man, a sculpture of a giant baby, a huge head sculpture of sleeping man, a massive sculpture of a womans face with tears in her eyes and so on. You cannot believe how awesome they are. They look so lifelike! I was impressed the details of his work.
He has had solo shows at the Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden in Washington, D. C., and the Nationalgalerie im Hamburger Bahnhof in Berlin, and his work has been included in numerous group shows. I highly recommend visiting the museum to take a look at the exhibition, and then find out their uniqueness.
