Its hard to keep up to speed on all the innovations in medical technologies, but exhibitors will do the job. Highlights from selected modalities and OEMs follow:

Kodak will demonstrate a new x-ray imaging system that moves around the patient to reduce pain and discomfort. The new KODAK DIRECTVIEW DR 9500 digital radiography system features a design that allows it to move around the patient to facilitate patient positioning and to enhance technologist convenience and productivity. This design, along with automated exam settings and other features, improves the speed of each exam while minimizing the need for patient movement. This can enhance care, especially for patients who are seriously ill or are in pain. The KODAK DR 9500 system is scheduled to be available worldwide in the second quarter of 2007.
